Pilates named after its founder Joseph Pilates.
Pilate is a type of physical fitness method which was earlier called as “contrology”.
It is popularly practiced worldwide, especially in western countries, the United states, Canada and the United Kingdom. The popularity of Pilate is growing very much, more and more people are practicing day by day.

It was popular during the World War 1, and was discovered during the same, as the patients during that time could move on the bed. It promoted movement even when one was bed ridden.
Pilates help in improving the body balance, if practiced regularly it improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It also helps the elderly people a lot.
Doing the Pilate exercises helps in improvement of the following, Concentration, control, centering, flow, postural alignment, precision, and stamina in the longer time.
